Iulius Caesar and C. Clovius. Bronze, end 46-early 45 BC. Obv. CAESAR DIC TER Draped bust of Victory right. Rev. C CLOVI-PRAEF. Minerva, standing left, holding trophy, spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion; at her feet, snake. Cr. 476/1a; B. (Clovia) 11. AE. 16.74 g. 27.50 mm. R. 

Rare and in excellent condition for issue, looking at both patina, details: this is a perfectly centred and complete exemplar. Just look at how the snake and the skirt seem to dance, so many details! Lovely deep emerald green patina, with orichalcum highlights. VF/Good VF.
