Tetradrachme - Gordianus III frappé à Antioche
Averse:
Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordianus III right seen from behind. The Inscription reads: ΑΥΤΟΚ Κ Μ ΑΝΤ ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟC CEB for Autokrator Kaisaros Marcos Antonios Gordiano Sebastos (Imperator Caesar Marcus Antonius Gordianus Augustus).
Reverse:
Eagle standing facing, head left, wings spread, holding wreath in beak; SC in exergue. The Inscription reads: ΔΗΜΑΡΧ ΕΞΟΥCIAC for Demarchos exousia, Senatus Consulto (Invested with the Tribunician Power, by decree of the Senate).
