C. Curiatius Trigeminus, 142 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.61 g, 3 h), Rome. TRIGE Head of Roma to right, wearing winged helmet, pendant earring and pearl necklace; below, X (mark of value). Rev. C•CVR / ROMA (on tablet) Juno driving galloping quadriga to right, holding reins in her left hand, scepter in her right and being crowned by Victory with laurel wreath. Babelon (Curatia) 23. Crawford 223/1. RBW 948. Sydenham 436. Lightly toned. Minor corrosion and with light edge chipping, otherwise, good very fine.
