OBVERSE: head of St. John in a single border. Variant without the visible forehead of the saint. The hair almost touches the eyes.

NOTE: A very interesting coin struck with an unusual stamp and very high weight - perhaps one of the earliest issues. Coin made using the "cross denar" technique with a raised rim.
