Numerous coins of this type were minted in Saksony. However, there is no doubt that their youngest, dating from the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries, were mass-produced also in Poland. This coin represents type VII, no. 991 according to the classification of M. Gumowski. By W. Nakielski minted in Silesia (Wrocław?) in the same beginnings of 12th century, by others authors in Greater Poland (Gniezno)..
OBVERSE: An irregular knight’s cross. Ornaments in the shape of points and Vs between its arms. Little point in the middle of the cross. No pseudo-legend.
REVERSE: Pastoral to the right. Traces of pseudo-legend.
