2,000 Pesos, issued in 2004. Front: Manuel Rodríguez Erdoyza (1785-1818), a Chilean revolutionary, once described as the first sincere democrat who appeared in the Chilean political world. He worked for the independence of Chile from Spain. In the center, a part of the monument dedicated to Manuel Rodríguez Erdoyza, made by the sculptress Blanca Merino Lizana. Back: Iglesia de los Dominicos or Church of the Dominicans. Declared a national monument in 1983, the church has the simplicity and the purity of lines that are a hallmark of Joaquin Toesca, the church's architect. Seal of the Banco Central de Chile at lower right.

100 Yuan, issued in 2000. This bank note was issued to commemorate the new millennium. A Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest at the Temple of Heaven in the clear window. Front: A roaring dragon spurting out a flaming ball. This is the third dragon of the nine dragon screen found in Beihai Park, Beijing. An optically variable device showing a red lantern with Chinese characters representing the new millennium at upper right. Back: The building of the China Centenary Altar in Beijing, a key construction marking the advent of the new millennium. Flying Apsaras from the frescoes of the Dunhuang Caves at the top.

20 Colones, issued in 1983. Front: Don Cleto de Jesus González Víquez (1858-1937), President of Costa Rica from 1906 to 1910 and from 1928 to 1932. His life was an example of respect for law and public liberties. He was genuinely concerned with the welfare of his country; his government focused on municipal services, a public water system, road and railway systems, electrification, air and sea transportation, a national library, social services, and the rule of law. He was declared "Hero of the Country" in 1944. A plantation with palm trees at right. Back: Allegorical scene of "Justice."

 20 Pesos, issued in 2010. Front: Gregorio Luperón (1839-1897), a Dominican military and state leader. He was the main leader in the restoration of the Dominican Republic after the Spanish annexation in 1863. Back: The National Pantheon in Santo Domingo. Built from 1714 to 1746 by the Spaniard Geronimo Quezada y Garçon, it was originally a Jesuit church. The structure was constructed in the neoclassic-renaissance style. Today the structure stands as a national symbol of the Dominican Republic and serves as the final resting place of the Republic's most honored citizens, including Gregorio Luperón.

It is 18 cm long and bright green overall, with red cheeks, throat and thighs. Kato ni masima or a salt basket at lower left. Back: At left, the Fiji crested iguana, a critically endangered iguana species native to Fiji. At center, a balaka palm from a genus of seven species in the palm family. Five species are native to the Fiji islands and two to Samoa. At center right, a masiratu flower, a large, tropical canopy tree, which is closely related to the magnolia.
