💡  Do you know the purpose of this small antique wooden object? 

It is in fact an old tool that was used to put the corks to close the neck of a bottle: called" Corker" or " Cork machine".  

Generally made of wood, these instruments were used manually to insert the cork into the neck of a bottle of wine or other spirits. Today, these small objects are collected; there are many old models, made of wood, brass or metal, manufactured in an artisanal way.
