Probus, the Father of the Euro?

Were I a journalist of dubious repute, and with poor research skills, I would have undoubtedly reported in some tabloid that the Euro was born in Siscia, in the year 276 CE, during the reign of Marcus Aurelius Probus.

The "Euro symbol" € was, of course, inadvertently created either by an engraver's error, or some sort of die fault.
In reality it is the lunate epsilon signifying the fifth workshop.

Not being a completist, I really did not need another specimen of RIC 682, but between the very pleasant portrait, and the amusing detail, I could not resist it!
