Ficus Lyrata or Fig Leaf Tree originates from western Africa, Cameroon where it thrives in lowland tropical rainforest. It is known to stretch up to 12-15 (39-49ft) meters in height.
Even though it is a tree, it is a very common house plant and a must have in my collection as watching it grow through the years is going to be a very satisfying process.
The secret to this plant, from what I have gathered is... light. Lots of indirect light (through the windows) and make sure you have space for it once it becomes a proper tree, if your not careful your home might turn into a treehouse over the years 😁
