There are some suggestions that this Roma symbol issue was the first of the denarius system, even before the anonymous issue Cr. 44. This suggestion is probably unsupported.
Very rare. Almost no wear, but dark, matte patina. Small edge chip obv. 9:00, minor flan crack rev 3:00. Otherwise, centered and complete, AEF.
