Roman Empire, Claudius II (268-270), Antoninianus, Rome mint, 2nd emission, 1st officina.
Obverse: IMP CLAVDIVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind;
Reverse: VICT-ORI-A AVG, Victory standing left, holding wreath in right hand and palm against left shoulder; A in left field;
Notes: The D2 bust type is known for all of the reverses of Claudius II from Rome, but the varieties where it is paired with the short, later legend IMP CLAVDIVS AVG are rare and often represented by very few examples, like in this care: this type is known from two examples, from the Cunetio and Evreux hoards, respectively.
