Obverse: GALLIENVS P F AVG, radiate and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front;

Reverse: P M TR P XII COS V P P, Serapis standing front, head left, raising right hand and holding transverse sceptre in left hand; 

Notes: Serapis' appearances on Roman Imperial coinage are scarce; the deity, a symbol of religious syncretism and of the rising importance of cults in the Empire, is usually associated with dated coins: see MIR 450 for an aureus of Gallienus from the Rome mint.
