Galerius. AD 305-311. Æ Half Follis (22mm, 5.11 g, 6h). Treveri (Trier) mint, 1st officina. Struck circa summer AD 307. Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Genius standing left, holding patera and cornucopia; S|A//PTR. RIC VI 738 corr. (emperor). Very rare, three others in CoinArchives.

Ex Classical Numismatic Group Electronic Auction 548 (18 October 2023), lot 612.

RIC records this as an issue for Maximian as Senior Augustus, without the Senior Augustus titles. There are GPR full folles in this issue struck for Galerius (with the same obverse legends as this coin), Maximinus, Constantine as Caesar, and Maximian as Senior Augustus (with the correct titles). Why they attribute these to Maximian is a mystery to this cataloger.
