Registration plates were introduced to the United States of America in 1901 when New York required residents to display a plate with the owner’s initials. In 1903, Massachusetts became the first to issue plates to the public. By 1918, all 48 states had followed suit. Each state has its own unique license plate that is constantly being updated, making them a unique collector’s item. The Stackin’ Across America Series has combined the allure of collecting plates with the security of precious metals. Order your 1 oz Stacking Across America Connecticut License Plate Silver Bar today, at JM Bullion.

The reverse field of the 1 oz Connecticut License Plate Silver Bar showcases the American flag flowing in the wind. Also featured is the name of the series. This image is present on the reverse field of every piece of silver in the Stackin’ Across America Series.
1 oz Stacking Across America Connecticut License Plate Silver Bars will arrive in individual plastic capsules to preserve their condition. Every state bar in this series has a limited mintage of just 1,000 making each piece a valuable addition to any collection.
Connecticut was among the first states to follow Massachusetts’s initiative as they started issuing plates in 1905, just two years after Massachusetts. The Connecticut plate has had minor changes over the years but nothing major like most states. From 1957- 2000 most plates featured a plain blue background. In 2000 it was changed to a half-blue half-white background.
