denarius, type I, Cracow mint (end of 1138-1140)
Obverse: Prince on a throne with sword in hand, beside him standing squire handing over the royal apple, inscription in rim
Confused legend with prince's name written counterclockwise: + ΛOIDZLAV
Reverse: knight fighting a lion, behind the knight a tree with three branches (symbol of the Tree of Life?).
A beautifully preserved coin, with nice patina.
Silver, diameter 13 mm, weight 0.55 g
