That's an iconic Trajan type, minted in Rome 104/105-107 AD, with Victory attaching a shield inscribed VIC DAC to the palm tree, referring to the Trajan's Dacian Wars which contributed to crushing the Dacians and making their land a Roman province. First, dupondius is less common than sestertius of the same type, but something that made me fall in love with it was the extremely rare variant with the beautifully made and preserved Gorgon (Aegis) on the Emperor’s shoulder. By the way, it’s also quite decent Trajan’s dupondius itself.
