This ancient Roman silver coin is a denarius of the emperor Antoninus Pius, who is considered one of Rome's "Five Good Emperors". 

A denarius like this was roughly equivalent to the daily pay for a soldier.

Obverse: Laureate bust of Antoninus Pius right.

Reverse: VOTA SOL DECEN II, emperor sacrificing left, over altar and bull carcass, COS IIII below.
