The standard weight of these coins was 5/11 troy ounce (218.2 grains). unchanged from the earlier sterling silver issues.
Krause & Mischler divide this series into two reverse varieties:
KM#818.1a (1920-22) crown touches shield;
KM#818.2 (1922-26) groove between crown and shield.
Other sources indicate a total of three obverse and four reverse dies:
Obv 1 small head in high relief;
Obv 2 medium head, 24½mm and away from 'A: B', wide spaced 'REX';
Obv 3 large head, 25mm, low relief, wide spaced 'REX';
Rev A raised garter edge above 'F·19', colon of 'DEF' points to pearl;
Rev B small design, plain edge above 'F·19' forming a pocket above 'C';
Rev C plain garter edge above 'F·19', colon of 'DEF' points to pearl in crown;
Rev D groove between crown and shield, legend close to garter, colon of 'DEF' points to space;
1926 obverse die varieties:
KM#818.2 188 small beads around, colon after BRITT points between beads;
KM#830 145 large beads around, colon after BRITT points to a bead;
