This incredible 2 oz silver coin is the second issue in the “Warrior” series, which is dedicated to the most important warriors in the world’s history. The given coin portrays one of the Mayans who was called Holcan. He was a heavy infantry native warrior in the age of Empires III who could be trained at a Trading Post built on a Maya settlement. This ruthless man knew no fear because, according to the Mayan beliefs, a man captured and killed in battle had a chance for the reward of a quick meeting with the gods.
As for the design of the coin, the reverse was made with attention to the smallest detail and decorated with a precise method of selective gilding. It shows a brave Mayan holding his weapon over a beautiful background of a typical Mayan village. The obverse employs a standard effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
