A very interesting reverse for Siscia that is of the VIR-2 design from Serdica which does not feature an exergue line. Alfoldi 097/034 is probably the closest to this reverse, but it is B/XXI rather than XXIB. What is further intriguing is that the VIR-2 Reverse, as cited by Gysen, does not appear at Serdica until 280/281 while this reverse appears fairly early on in Siscia in 277 after Probus arrives in the city with the Serdica engravers. Perhaps this reverse at Serdica takes place earlier than before the move of the engravers to Siscia.
