Caesar Domitianus Augustus
"Princeps iuventutis – Leader of the Youth" Chroniclers mention that in his youth, Domitian was tall, handsome, and had poor eyesight. However, over time, he gained weight and went bald. He avoided physical exertion but was an excellent archer. He enjoyed playing dice but disliked poetry and literature. He ate very generously and often hosted banquets. He was also known for numerous relationships with various women.
After Vespasian took power, Domitian assumed the office of urban praetor with consular authority. However, he did not take his duties seriously. Even at that time, Domitian abused his power and, in an effort to match his brother's achievements, undertook a campaign in Gaul and Germania. Nevertheless, he contributed little to suppressing the revolt. After Titus assumed power, Domitian was said to have constantly plotted against him.
