An interesting AR denarius (with such a dark toning) with DIVVS VESPASIANVS struck under Titus AD 80-81. This commemorative series is a posthumous reference to Vespasian’s conquest of Judea ten years earlier, in which Titus was the commanding legate. On the reverse - Victory advancing left, placing the shield on the trophy, and below, Judaea seated left in the attitude of mourning.
