Francois II 10/07/1559 - 04/12/1560 and Mary I, Queen of Scotland

TESTOON,  1st Type.  silver .916%  dated 1559, from Edinburgh mint. 

Sadly, France issued no coinage during the short reign of Francois I I that bore his name, or indeed, even his initial  F/M.

As a small homage, to recognise him amongst his fellow kings of France,  I include this coin as a small tribute to that brief period of history.
