Early Roman Silver with Monograms to c. 140 B.C.

This collection contains early silver coins with monograms and moneyer's names prior to about 140 BC. This cutoff is somewhat arbitrary but this was the point at which the types began to diverge from the traditional Roma obverse and reverses with dioscuri on horseback, or the various chariot types with Victory or Luna.
