Comments:
The Phrygian cap is a soft cone-shaped headgear with the top facing towards and falls back a little. This hat was originally made and worn by the inhabitants of Phrygia (Asia Minor), but in the Roman Empire the cap was worn by freed slaves. This custom is at the origin of it as a symbol of freedom.
