A nice Brilliant Uncirculated example with a few scattered bagmarks and attractive cartwheel luster. Many if not most of these were struck by the US Mint for Panama, on US silver dollar blanks, though the United States had ceased its own production of silver dollars by 1935.
These coins bear the portrait of Vasco Núñez de Balboa. The side with Liberty standing is generally considered to be the obverse, while the Balboa portrait side is the reverse. I have displayed it the other way around in these photos, simply because the Balboa side felt like the "heads" side of the coin to me.
