Roman Empire, Claudius II (268-270), Antoninianus, Antioch mint, 2nd emission, 6th officina.
Obverse: IMP C CLAVDIVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind;
Reverse: VIRT-VS AVG, Minerva standing right, holding spear in right hand and resting left hand on shield, • in exergue;
Notes: Claudius II's second emission from Antioch used dots in the exergue rather than letters; it's unknown why this choice was made, but it was not popular, as it was quickly abandoned in favour of empty exergues, and all the coins from this issue are rather scarce.
