Obverse:
A full-length male figure grasping a tree, its branches ending in escutcheons representing the states of the Swiss Confederation, the dates ‘1848’ and ‘1948’ to either side, signed ‘Huguenin’ and with indistinct initials "HF".

Reverse:
A Greek (Geneva) cross, the central panel bearing a cross decussate of laurel branches, each branch is inscribed with the same text in German, French, Italian and Romansch. The engraver's name is under the right branch.

Comments:
