Agnes Nyanhongo is one of the most prominent and successful Zimbabwean sculptors and one of Africa’s most collected female artists. She is the daughter of first generation sculptor, Claudio Nyanhongo, who was the driving force that inspired her to become a professional artist. The sensitivity with which Nyanhongo expresses her ideas was undoubtedly impacted by her formative experiences working with her father.
