Comments:
Although denominated in Pesos, this coin was issued after the Salvadoran currency had officially been renamed the Colón.
All coins bear the C.A.M. mint mark, but they were minted by different mints:
KM#115.1 - Central American Mint and Monnaie Royale de Belgique. Of the coins dated 1904, 400,000 were minted by the Royal Belgian Mint.
KM#115.2 - U.S. Mints - Heavier portrait, wider right shoulder. For the 1914 issue, 510,993 were minted in Philadelphia and 511,108 were minted in San Francisco.
The 1914 Belgian issue was remelted due to the German invasion of Belgium in 1914.
