Numerous coins of this type were minted in Saksony. However, there is no doubt that their youngest, dating from the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries, were mass-produced also in Poland. This coin represents type VII, no. 986-987 according to the classification of M. Gumowski. By W. Nakielski minted in Silesia.

OBVERSE: An irregular primitive knight’s cross. Ornaments in the shape of points and Vs between its arms.
