Salus, the daughter of Aesculapius, was the Roman goddess of safety and well-being. She appeared on coins to assure the Roman people that the Emperor or the Empire itself was doing well. Quite a nice example with an exceptionally sharp portrait, nice dark patina, and well-preserved long legend on the obverse, minted during Trajan's V consulate, but after his Dacian campaign.
