Luca Romano
The LVCA ROMANO Collection

This time an example without smallpox and with a portrait facing right. These are adjacent numbers in the RIC (715 and 716). Not photogenic like most bronzes in these colors and with a similar surface, but very pleasant in the hand.

Obverse: IMP CAES VESP AVG P M T P COS V CENS, Head of Vespasian, radiate, right,
Reverse: FELICITAS PVBLICA S C, Felicitas, draped, standing left, holding winged caduceus extended in right hand and cornucopiae in left.

Referenz : RIC II, Part 1 (second edition) Vespasian 715, Auktion Giessener Münzhandlung 156, München 2007, Nr. 2021 and the Auktion Helios 7, München 2012, Nr. 711.

Sammlung : Flavian money does not stink
