Obv.: Crowned lion walking left, (large crown), within tressure of ten arches, tail curved and spreading with three large tufts, within tressure and three small spikes half way along the tail; Variety with quatrefoils in obverse spandrels and on cusps of beaded circles and Latin legend surrounding. Latin legend with Lombardic A's and beaded borders surrounding, with double pierced quatrefoil stops.
