Collectible Coin - Slovak National Theatre - Slovensko 2020 - 100th Anniversary
The Slovak National Theater (SND) has played an important role since its founding in 1920, which resulted from the goals of the newly established First Czechoslovak Republic. The construction of the first stable professional theater was a demanding process, given not only the noticeable shortage of performing artists, but also the lack of clarity about the cultural and social objectives the SND was supposed to meet. The performances put on by the SND in the early years were mostly in the Czech language, but with a new generation of Slovak performers coming through, an increasing number of productions were in Slovak. The performances have taken place since the beginning of the SND's existence in the building of the Municipal Theater in 1886 (today's Historical Building of the SND), which was designed by important Viennese architects Ferdinand Fellner Jr. and Hermann Helmer. Starting out against the backdrop of the Germanic-Hungarian theatrical scene, the SND's further evolution reflected the effects of several regime changes on the composition of its casts and audiences. Le Théâtre national slovaque (SND) a joué un rôle important depuis sa fondation en 1920, qui résulte des objectifs de la Première République tchécoslovaque nouvellement créée. La construction du premier théâtre professionnel stable a été un processus exigeant, compte tenu non seulement de la pénurie notable d'artistes du spectacle, mais aussi du manque de clarté quant aux objectifs culturels et sociaux que le SND était censé atteindre. Les représentations organisées par le SND dans les premières années étaient principalement en langue tchèque, mais avec l'arrivée d'une nouvelle génération d'artistes slovaques, un nombre croissant de productions étaient en langue slovaque. Les représentations ont eu lieu depuis le début de l'existence du SND dans le bâtiment du théâtre municipal en 1886 (aujourd'hui le bâtiment historique du SND), qui a été conçu par les importants architectes viennois Ferdinand Fellner Jr. et Hermann Helmer. Ayant pour toile de fond la scène théâtrale germano-hongroise, l'évolution ultérieure du SND a reflété les effets de plusieurs changements de régime sur la composition de ses acteurs et de son public.
