Luang Phor Phat (Wat Huay Duan)

Luang Phor Phat is the current abbot of Wat Huay Don, Nakhon Sawan Province. Luang Phor Phat is considered an uncommon guru monk. Luang Phor Phat is now 99 years old and has been in monkhood for more than 70 years. Luang Phor Phat is still very healthy and has many disciples around him despite his age. Luang Phor Phat is a close disciple of Luang Phor Derm Wat Nong Pho who is considered one of the top guru monks in Thailand. Although Luang Phor Derm passed on many years ago, his holiness still remains widely, especially in amulets consecrated by him.

Luang Phor Phat first saw Luang Phor Derm while he was still a child. Luang Phor Phat gained kindness from Luang Phor Derm and studied magic and mantras from him.

Luang Phor Phat is well-respected especially in Nong Bua district, Nakhon Sawan Province. People living in the center might not have heard about Luang Phor Phat Wat Huay Don as Luang Phor Phat is solitary. However, Luang Phor Phat has many disciples who are businessmen, police officers, and soldiers. Whenever Luang Phor Phat was to release a new batch of amulets, his amulets would often be rented out quickly as many people wanted to have a piece of his amulet.

There is news regarding the burning in Wat Huay Duan. On 18th July BE 2557 around 3 am in the morning, the chapel of Wat Huay Duan was burning. Everything in the chapel was damaged except for Luang Phor Phat's waxwork and his monk robe. People believe that it was Luang Phor Phat’s holiness that both his waxwork and monk robe had not been burned.
