Very rare and desirable dated consular legend (CONS III)

This coin is part of the famous coded Eqviti series (see the letter "V" in left field, which is the 3rd letter of the EQVITI word struck by the third officina, i.e. officina "T"), discovered and first published by Alexander Missong in his articale ‘Gleichartig systemisirte Münzreihen unter Kaiser Probus’ (1873).

There were 6 officinae at the Ticinum mint at that time; each one struck a different reverse with a different letter from the EQVITI code.

Virtually as struck with full original silvering. Exceedingly rare in such an exceptional state of preservation!

Rzadka i poszukiwana datowana tytulatura konsularna (CONS III)

Ta moneta jest częścią słynnej kodowanej serii Eqviti (por. literę "V" w lewym polu, która jest trzecią literą słowa EQVITI wybijaną przez trzecią oficynę, tj. oficynę "T" (tertia), odkrytej i po raz pierwszy opublikowanej przez Alexandra Missonga w artykule ‘Gleichartig systemisirte Münzreihen unter Kaiser Probus’, (1873).

W mennicy Ticinum w czasach Probusa istniało 6 oficyn; każda z nich wybijała inny rewers z inną literą z kodu EQVITI.
