Perfect mint state with full original silvering and mint luster. A stunning coin, among my best preserved Probus coins! Extremely rare in such an exceptional state of preservation!
Attribution of this coin to the 4th unspecified oriental mint instead of Antiochia (as in RIC V.II) is based on the article by S. Estiot, "L’Empereur et l’usurpateur: un 4e atelier oriental sous Probus"; Studies in ancient coinage in honor of Anndrew Burnett, Spink, London, 2015.
