The sun rising over the sea, with two hands clasped below a banner bearing the word "FRATERNITY"
Below is the makers stamp of 'LEWIS/ BIRMM' and a radiate crown with the date of Victoria's ascension (1837) and the date of her golden jubilee (1887) underneath. At the base of the medal is a serial number, 'RD 58147'
