Royal visit of King George IV to Scotland in 1822.
Obverse:
Draped and laureate bust of King George IV facing left. Legend around and circled with a wreath of thistles. Engraver's names at bottom and "Faulkner" in the truncation.
Lettering:

Reverse:
The king greeted by three characters, two Scottish nobles in kilt, carrying a flag and a shield; and by Scotland (goddess allegorically representing Scotland). A landscape in the background, mountains on the right and the Castle of Edinburgh on the left; legend in exergue.
