The type containing the dolphin symbol is crude and rarely of skilled style whereas the related anonymous type without the dolphin symbol, RRC 80/1b, is typically of highly skilled engravings with a very few exceptions. So far there are no die links known with the obverses of Crawford's sub varieties suggesting these were in fact different issues/mints.
