ЖОI
This piece presents the medieval culture of Moldavia, which today is a part of Romania (despite partially so.)
The symbol in the middle represents the statehood of Moldavia. The patterns on the edges of the piece attempt to simulate the ethnic broidery, so typical for that region of the world.
The wording ЖОI refers to Thursday. Despite being a Latin-based language like Venetian, Moldavians used Cyrillic script for their language throughout most of their history. This is no doubt, due to their Orthodox faith. A unique culture of place and time.
Thursday is unique. Excitement for Friday, yet, patience is virtue.
