Vexillum between two shields, two pairs of spears and two trumpets.
2017.0.19 : Musée gallo-romain - Saint-Romain-en-Gal, silver, 3,58 gr, 19 mm, 7h.
Very rare coin struck in Rome for the BMC/RE. and the RIC. but in Lyon for J.-B. Giard (author of Giard/L. and BN/R.). The BnF only has the aureus version. Same opposition for the crown : the English see laurel, Giard opts for oak.
Found in an archaeological excavation in 1980 on the archaeological park (Maison des Dieux Océans) of Saint-Romain-en-Gal (69). For the moment, this coin isn't presented in exhibition halls.
