The Bank of Thailand has been granted royal permission to publish and issue commemorative banknotes in honor of Her Majesty the Queen. Her Majesty the Queen in the reign of King Rama IX on the auspicious occasion of the 80th birthday ceremony in 2012
The Bank of Thailand designed all new banknotes to depict stories and royal acts of royal patronage. And announced on 15 June 2555 and began to pay for exchange on 9 August 2555 at a price of 120 baht per copy with a brochure.

Front banknote
The front of the banknote has a portrait of His Majesty King Rama IX along with a portrait of Her Majesty the Queen. The Queen in the reign of King Rama IX is the president. There is a watermark in the royal name "SorKor" under the Phra Maha Mongut.
