Banknote information of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej King Prajadhipok ascended the throne on November 26, 1925. At the beginning of his reign, the Type 2 banknotes that had just been issued on July 21, 2025 or 4 months before his accession to the throne were still used. 2 All kinds of prices were released throughout the reign.
But due to the change of the new reign and to prepare in advance before the Type 2 banknotes run out, the Ministry of the Treasury arranged for a company to accept the banknote printing in 1928 and agreed to hire Thomas de la Rue to be the one. The third banknote printing was presented to
Thomas de la Rue Company to introduce the main portrait for portraits, suitable for printing with reliefs and details that are difficult to forgery. Therefore, it is appropriate to bring the portrait of King Prajadhipok as the presiding image on banknotes in accordance with foreign banknotes.
During the banknote printing process The People's Party changed its governance from an absolute monarch to a democratic system on June 24, 1932. The implementation of the new banknotes was therefore delayed and in 1934, the Series 3 banknotes were gradually introduced in price. 10 baht, 1 baht and 5 baht, respectively. The 20 baht banknote was issued in 1935 after the King abdicated on March 2, 1934.
The 3 banknotes were still in use continuously until the reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Nanta Mahidol, Rama VIII, but changed the image of the President on the front to be a portrait of King Rama 8, which is considered a 3 Series 2 banknote.
Due to the change of government during the reign of King Rama VII, various departments were renamed. Ministry of the Treasury was renamed to Ministry of Finance in 1933 and at the end of the same year, on December 9, 1933, an Act to Change the Name of Ministry, Ta-buang, Department was enacted again to be Ministry of Finance Therefore, the position of the authorized signatory on the 3 banknotes of 10 baht and 1 baht that had been issued before the change was announced. Chancellor of the Ministry of the Treasury After the change was announced, the position was changed to Minister of Finance and Minister of Finance The same as in the 5 baht and 20 baht banknotes that were used in the latter order.
