Front - center of the coin has a portrait of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn. King Chulalongkorn IX wearing his robes turn his face to the right Around the edge of the coin consists of the pattern of the Chula Chom Klao necklace. Inside the edge of the coin above is the message that "His Majesty King Chulalongkorn Phra Chula Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua"
Behind – The middle of the coin has the letter “Jor Por Ror” under the Phra Maha Mongut. On the right and left sides of the royal monogram "Jor Por", there are artificial Thai numerals "2396" and "2003" respectively. Inside the rim of the coin above there is the message "150 years of the King's birthday, 20 September 2003". The text says the price is "9,000 baht" and the text "Thailand", respectively, with a square between the text above and below both sides.
