Bust to the right with camauro, mozzetta and stole. Latin legend around with date of the Pontificate.

Translation: Benedict 14, Grand Pontiff, Year 10.

Engraver: Ottone Hamerani.

Reverse: 
The Pope assisted by the court opens the Holy Door. Latin legend around and date in the exergue.

Ottone Hamerani (1694-1761)
He worked with Clement XII and his successors Benedict XIV and Clement XIII, engraving several medals. He also engraved several medals in the name of James Francis Edward Stuart, a Jacobite pretender to the throne of England. He became master of the mint of Rome in 1734 and held this position until his death.

Ottone Hamerani (1694-1761)
Il a travaillé avec Clément XII et ses successeurs Benoît XIV et Clément XIII, gravant plusieurs médailles. Il grave également plusieurs médailles au nom de James Francis Edward Stuart, un prétendant jacobite au trône d'Angleterre. Il devint maître de la Monnaie de Rome en 1734 et occupa ce poste jusqu'à sa mort.
