RoboCop is a classic 80s action film set in a future dystopian Detroit on the brink of collapse from rampant crime and corruption. Peter Weller plays Alex Murphy, a street cop betrayed by his superiors to his death so that his body can be used for the experimental RoboCop program. Paul Verhoeven, known for his satirical and over the top portrayals of sex and violence in films, cranks out another masterpiece. RoboCop lays down the law and provides audiences with the revenge fantasy beat down against crime.
