Open 3 variety. Lower grade and well worn, but original, with full rims and no major distractions- just “honest wear”. Arrows at date subtype. This was done by the Mint in 1873 (just as it was in 1853-55) to indicate a change in the weight standard of the coin.
Per Numismedia (5/31/2024), this is an $82 coin in G4. That figure seems rather inflated, but it does make this a nice giveaway prize.
