Obverse: D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust right, holding spear and shield with horseman motif. 

Reverse:  GLORIA REIPVBLICAE, Roma and Constantinopolis enthroned facing, heads turned towards one another, holding sceptres and supporting between them shield inscribed VOT XV MVL XX in four lines, prow beneath foot of Constantinopolis; star in left field, CONOB in exergue.
